NOTA is a transportation service serving seniors, disabled, and low income residents of Oxford, Orion, and Addison Townships, and the Villages of Oxford, Orion, and Leonard since 2001. NOTA operates 16 routes Monday to Friday. Saturday and Sunday NOTA operates two routes for local services only.

The residents NOTA serves are transit dependent individuals who need help getting to medical appointments, grocery shopping, community events and work. Without NOTA many riders would not be able to leave their homes or live an independent life.

We operate seven days a week and have 22 vehicles and 21 are wheelchair equipped.

To apply you must be a resident of Orion, Oxford, or Addison Townships and be at least 60 years or older, disabled or low income. Registration is required to use NOTA’s service. Please see our website at for an online application or printable version. We can also send you an application if needed or stop by our office Monday to Friday. Proof of residency is required with all applications and if you have a disability a professional verification form will also be required.

The goal is to maintain current service levels at this time and put procedures in place to help keep the public and our employees safe. A mask must be worn at all times by the rider and driver while on the vehicle.

Please note if you can answer yes to any of the following questions you can NOT ride NOTA:

  2. Have you been in close contact in last 14 days with someone with a diagnosis of COVID 19?

NOTA is not medical transportation. The driver will give you hand sanitizer prior to boarding the vehicle. NOTA is disinfecting the vehicles daily. If you have been exposed to COVID you must quarantine for 14 days and will not be able to use NOTA until your quarantine is over.  We cannot take any rider to have a COVID test unless it is a pre-requisite for an upcoming medical/surgical procedure.  We may ask to see the doctor’s orders.  The rider must be symptom free.

In an effort to help senior citizens (age 60 or older) and individuals with underlying health conditions reduce their risk of being exposed to Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), NOTA is willing to help residents obtain food and other essentials from local Kroger or Meijer stores or FISH at no charge.  Please call dispatch for more information.
